Vintage 22 Rose
Heifer Station vineyard is situated between 860-900m elevation on the undulating slopes of Mt Canobolas. Shiraz and Merlot for our dry rose were planted in 1999 on a high, easterly aspect.
Single vineyard.
Merlot & Shiraz.
Tasting Note:
Mid to pale salmon pink with a copper hue. Floral, earthy, and spicy across red cherry and musk sticks. Rose petal and watermelon juice aromatics round out a fragrant and lifted wine. In addition, there are hints of ruby grapefruit to provide further complexity. The wine shows some morello cherry and ripe watermelon on powderpuff-like tannins. There is a floral core to this wine with real depth and intensity across coiled acidity. A powerful wine, yet light on its feet.
A blend of Shiraz and Merlot. 100% tank fermented. A clear expression of variety and vineyard.
860-900m Elevation on an easterly aspect.
