Heifer Station vineyard is situated between 860-900m elevation on the undulating slopes of Mt Canobolas. Pinot Noir was planted in the vineyard in 1999 and 2012 using the MV6 clone. Recent plantings include 667, Q932, and 777.

Tasting note.

Hand-picked and hand-sorted whole bunches are left in open fermenters to activate wild yeast. The wine is racked to a combination of new and mature French oak barrels after primary fermentation is complete. A lovely textured and aromatic style, with dark cherry, plum & mulberry characters. Charred oak & dried spice with fine tannins frame the palate of this medium-bodied wine.
