It was never meant to be a vineyard -The unspoiled natural environment, with lush fertile pastures, the slight undulation, a small dam, and a sheltered eastern boundary made it perfect for raising fat cows. It was with real reluctance the farmer changed his tack. That's farming for you -  You need to decide what is the best use of the land. Fat cows would certainly have been easier, but then again we wouldn't be sitting here sipping on such an elegant expression of terroir.

Tasting Note:

Mid-Crimson garnet with a ruby hue.

Instantly complex and multi-dimensional. Spicy & earthy with red cherry, raspberry, and wild strawberry. Some game and graphite notes with Campari-like aromatics lead to a clear whole bunch expression. Fine-grained tannins and positive acid tension give a resonant texture. The oak offers supportive spice and structure adding depth and power. A long and layered finish hint at whats is to come with some careful cellaring.

A blend of Dijon clones 667 & 777.

35% whole bunch.

35% New French Oak.
